My 11 lines and crow's feet vanished, leaving my skin looking smooth and glass-like. This time, using a clean makeup brush, I applied a thin layer of the product, and, to my surprise, it worked just as well as the day before, but without the uncomfortable cast-like feeling. On day two, after cleansing, I applied moisturizer on my face and made sure it was completely dried and fully absorbed before applying the Instant FIRMx eye cream. I eventually washed the product off and vowed to use just a tiny amount the next day. The entire day my eye area felt like it was in a mummified cast, unable to move. I could also feel it tightening, like a layer of Elmer's Glue drying on my skin. In a matter of 30 seconds, I could see my skin tightening up. ![]() I tested the Instant FIRMx eye cream on my 11 lines and crow's feet on clean, dry skin. However, to prolong the effects of the product, you should avoid using water-based makeup or any setting spray, as this will affect the longevity of your results. If you notice any white residue, moisten a cotton swab (or your fingertip) and remove the excess by gently patting the edges.Īfter applying the eye cream, you can gently dab on makeup such as eyeshadow, under-eye concealer, or powder. Also, because sodium silicate has a powdery finish, you may notice a white cast left on the skin if you use too much of it, which can look unflattering (especially if you’re melanin-rich). Let the product dry for approximately five minutes, during which time you should avoid moving your face (i.e., no squinting or smiling).ĭue to its potency, you only need a tiny amount to see visible results, which is good because one tube will last considerably longer than your average eye cream. Using your fingertips or a clean makeup brush (I found that a makeup brush works best), pick up a tiny amount of product and spread a thin layer onto the eye area, avoiding the eyelids. Shake the tube and squeeze a pea-size amount out on top of your hand. ![]() Short-term fixes and long-term results? I'm here for that. Packed with ingredients like Eyeliss (a powerful peptide complex), Eye Regener (potent plant extracts of lupine and alfalfa), and vitamins C and E (antioxidants that protect and repair the skin), the cream can help visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines, crow's feet, and undereye bags with continued use. It's important to note that, although this eye cream provides a temporary fix, it also boasts long-term benefits. ![]() Additionally, “If you have oilier skin or perspire more, it will break the bond, and the effects of the formula may wear off sooner,” shares a brand representative. Therefore, if you want to use a moisturizer, the brand recommends allowing it to fully absorb and dry before applying the Instant FIRMx eye cream. However, sodium silicate’s effectiveness is cut short when it comes in contact with water (or any water-based product). Seaweed extract helps soothe and soften the complexion, while sodium silicate constricts and lifts the skin, giving it a smoother and more youthful appearance. ![]() The Instant FIRMx eye cream is formulated with Firm-A-Tite, a combination of seaweed extract and sodium silicate that provides instant firming and tightening benefits that can last anywhere from six to eight hours.

And that, to me, is sadder than if they had not been brought on to the team to begin with.Įnjoyment (1/10) - Let's just get this out of the way early: at some point, I ended up watching Orion not because I enjoyed it or because I wanted to know what would happen next, but to find out how they would try and salvage what was left to salvage. And that would have been okay if those new additions got the respect they deserved, but the moment that they had their place in the spotlight they were sidelined almost immediately after. Sure we also lost some characters along the way, but we ended with a surplus of characters. The worst part of all this is that they were doing okay for the first half of Orion, because once it got to the world tournament they ended up ADDING characters to the main team. What is the issue is that there is no way for us to bond with any of them as there is no feasible way for Orion to properly showcase any character growth whatsoever (except if you are one of the main characters). The characters themselves are perfectly fine, that's not the issue. Orion's Inazuma Japan starts out with nineteen members right from the first episode, which is a bigger problem than most people might realize. The Inazuma Japan from Galaxy had thirteen members at most. The Inazuma Japan from the original Inazuma Eleven had sixteen members at any given time. I could write this whole review just about the characters in Orion, but. I will also admit that I am a pretty big fan of the third ED of Orion and more than its OP, which is something I can't say I am since Maji Bomber all the way back in the original Inazuma Eleven's third season.Ĭharacter (2/10) - Oh boy. Sound (6/10) - The soundtracks of Inazuma Eleven has always been pretty good, and even though I feel like it has gone down with Ares and Orion, they're still pretty decent. ![]() I am not that big of a fan of these if that was not obvious. I know that there are goal celebrations in the other installments of Inazuma Eleven, but these somehow feel. Orion also does this thing where they have goal celebrations from the characters of the main team, especially in the first half of Orion. The animation of all the new techniques introduced in Orion (and there are a lot of them!) has certainly improved, but none barring one (maybe two) of these were techniques that left me with a spark and in awe. In short, the story tried to focus on one specific plot point but it ended up becoming a rushed mess that, honestly, was quite all over the place.Īrt (4/10) - With a new franchise come new techniques and new animation techniques to, well. Orion also suffers from the same pacing problem that Ares had, but then cranked up to an eleven (more on that in the Enjoyment part of this review). Sure there are only so few plot ideas they could have gone for with what is effectively Inazuma Eleven's eighth arc, but it really feels very weak. By trying too hard to reference everything, Orion ends up in this weird space where it cannot stand out from the others. but the execution of everything is horrid, there is no other way to describe it. It would serve as a little bit of an easter egg for the faithful fans who have watched every episode of every season where we could go "Ah, that came from Galaxy, and that one came from the Aliea Academy arc!". Orion takes inspiration from the other Inazuma Eleven seasons, every one of them if you want to analyze every little frame, and this was a nice idea. ![]() All right, so those watching Orion will directly notice several things. I also make a handful of references to the other installments of Inazuma Eleven in this review to try and emphasize my point. ![]() ![]() I waited until I watched every episode of this to know for sure whether or not I would be certain of my decision, and having watched all 49 episodes I can say this with no regret: I am really disappointed with what Orion has become. It hurts, as a big Inazuma Eleven fan who watched the franchise ever since the first season of Inazuma Eleven was still airing, to give such a low rating for an Inazuma Eleven franchise. ![]() When participating in Random Battles, for every 200 RP earned, your squad will receive one activity point. In addition to the articles and editorials he wrote for the Crisis, Du Bois produced a number of books on the history of Black American experience and on the problems of racial prejudice. Du Bois: Essays and Editorials from “The Crisis.” In 1973 Henry Lee Moon gathered a number of essays and articles written by Du Bois for Crisis and published them in book form as The Emerging Thought of W. As the editor of the Crisis, a journal put out by the NAACP, he became a well-known spokesman for the Black cause. Du Bois helped to establish the NAACP and worked as its director of publicity and research for many years. Although this movement disintegrated, it served as the forerunner of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Indeed, his reputation may largely rest on this remarkable document, which had a profound effect on the minds of black people.”Ī few years after The Souls of Black Folk was published, Du Bois banded with other Black leaders and began the Niagra Movement, which sought to abolish all distinctions based on race. Cruse and Carolyn Gipson noted in the New York Review of Books that “nowhere else was Du Bois’s description of the Negro’s experience in American Society to be given more succinct expression… Souls is probably his greatest achievement as a writer. By every civilized and peaceful method we must strive for the rights which the world accords to men.” In retrospect, many scholars have pointed to The Souls of Black Folk as a prophetic work. Washington apologizes for injustice, North or South, does not rightly value the privilege and duty of voting, belittles the emasculating effects of caste distinctions, and opposes the higher training and ambition of our brighter minds-so far as he, the South, or the Nation, does this-we must unceasingly and firmly oppose him. Washington and his followers, who favored assimilation and argued for the gradual development of the “Negro race” through vocational training. explained in his Black Literature in America that white Americans were not “ready to respond favorably to Du Bois’s scrupulously accurate portrayal of the hypocrisy, hostility, and brutality of white America toward black America.” Many Black readers were also shocked by the book because Du Bois announced his opposition to the conciliatory policy of Booker T. The Souls of Black Folk was not well received when it first appeared. By 1903 he stated in The Souls of Black Folk that “the problem of the twentieth century is the problem of the color line,” and he spent the remainder of his long life trying to break down racial barriers. Trained as a sociologist, Du Bois began to document the oppression of Black people and their strivings for equality in the 1890s. Du Bois eventually received his doctorate from Harvard. After graduating from Fisk, he enrolled at Harvard, and later at the University of Berlin though he returned to the US after his funding ran out. ![]() Of French and African descent, Du Bois grew up in Great Barrington, Massachusetts and attended Fisk University in Tennessee. ![]() Du Bois was at the vanguard of the civil rights movement in America. ![]() Stay tuned!įeel free to give me a call at +447588739366 or book a meeting at #webdevelopment #frontend #coding #softwaredevelopment #development #javascript #react #lowcode #lowcodenocode #lowcodeplatform #lowcodedevelopment #nocodedevelopment #webdeveloperĭo references stating the downsides of a person seem more credible? The idea for the goggles came from Cal's experience during his early days of flying helicopter (1957) at Eniwetok Atoll during nuclear tests under 'Operation Hardtack' and later from his experiences with the flash curtain, gold goggles and eye patch problems encountered as a SAC B-47 and B-52 aircraft commander with the 306th and 509th Bomb Wings." "The PLZT material was developed by two engineers, Gene Haertling and Cecil Land, from the Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico from 1961 to 1973 (U.S. The requirements for the goggles was orchestrated by Cal Crochet, SAC Life Support System program manager, who was the direct interface with Sandia Laboratories at Kirtland AFB, NM. Unfortunately, in order to obtain the desired switching speed, this meant that when the nuclear flash protective goggle failed, it was basically opaque." "PLZT is a ceramic material consisting of lead, lanthanum, zirconate, and titante and it can be electronically switched rapidly in polarity, such that when sandwiched with a near infrared blocking material and a fixed polarizing material, the visual transmittance can be varied from full open state (approximately 20%) to totally opaque within a ten-millionth of a second." "The protection device (helmet-mounted special goggles containing four lenses) was developed under a $7.2 million contract managed by Aeronautical Systems Division at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. The designers of the PLZT goggle had found that the material could be discharged quicker than when charged to change the transmittance. This causes the lenses to go black, protecting the vision of anyone wearing the helmet. But any dangerous flash of light, such as lightning or a nuclear blast, instantaneously breaks the circuit. When linked to an electric current, the lenses are clear. These goggles are made of sandwich composite of polarized glass with an inner layer of a transparent electro-optic ceramic called PLZT. Here's another excerpt from Flightgear.dk website: "The most advanced thermal flash protective devices in use are the PLZT goggles. Hence the need to use PLZT protective devices on the dual visor housing of an HGU-55 flight helmet (HGU-55E). It will occur only when the fireball is actually in the individual's field of view and should be a relatively uncommon injury." Retinal scarring is the permanent damage from a retinal burn.
